Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD)
The Student Support Center has established SADD chapters in several DC charter schools and is available to assist schools to build new chapters of this unique approach involving peer-based education outreach.
The Center’s staff will:
- Meet as needed with school SADD Chapter Members
- Provide training to chapter advisors and student leaders on substance abuse prevention through the use of the Botvin’s LifeSkills Training (LST).
- Provide guidance to chapter advisors and student leaders on delivering education and prevention messages to their student bodies through school and community-wide activities.
- Provide information on the process of establishing SADD chapters and assist schools on filing necessary paperwork.
